REI- Fellowship Program You can submit your application for positions beginning July, 2009 online by going to ASRM.org. You may also want to visit the Fellowship Gateway for additional information. This is a 3-year fellowship, with 18 months devoted to clinical work and 18 months devoted to research. We do not require Dean's letters or medical school transcripts for postdoctoral fellow positions. We do require two letters of recommendation; one from your present Chief of Service and the other from someone who knows you well and can assess your clinical capabilities as well as your future potential for the field of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. The letters can be mailed, faxed or e-mailed. However, if the letters are e-mailed, please ensure that the name, title and institutional affiliation of the author appear within the body of the e-mail. Please return your completed application and letters of recommendation by July 31, 2008. Following receipt of your application, a file will be set up for you where all relevant materials, including your letters of recommendation, will be held. All complete applications will be reviewed and the top applicants will be interviewed. A personal interview is mandatory for candidates under serious consideration for fellowship positions. The interview allows the candidate to gain the true flavor and character of the program, as well as giving the program an excellent opportunity for assessing the potential of each candidate. You will be notified if you have been chosen for an interview. It is anticipated that the interviews will take place at the end of September. You may contact the NRMP to get information on the fellowship match application process and deadlines. Their address is, National Resident Matching Program, 2501 M. Street, N.W., Suite 1, Washington, D.C. 20037-1307, phone: 202-828-0676. In addition, please remember that it is essential that postdoctoral fellows, who will be involved in clinical work, obtain a California Medical License once accepted into the program. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Fellowship Coordinator at kbailey@mednet.ucla.edu or (310) 206-8914. Send all application materials to: |
